WHAT MAKES MCS SO MAGICAL?
At Montessori Children's School, we cultivate a vibrant community where children from toddler through grade three embark on a journey of joyful discovery and lifelong learning.
Guided by the Montessori philosophy, we cherish each child's innate curiosity and unique potential, fostering a love for learning through child-led exploration and hands-on experiences.
Rooted in the beauty of nature, our nurturing and safe environment encourages independence, empathy, and respect for oneself, others, and the world around us.
Together, we inspire a future generation of confident, compassionate individuals who embrace the wonder of the world and their place within it.
Welcome to MCS.
OUR PROGRAMMING
-
TODDLER
The Toddler Program at MCS is a place of wonder, where our youngest learners begin their journey of independence and discovery. In this nurturing environment, children explore the world around them, developing their motor skills and forming early social connections. Through nature and hands-on activities, each day is filled with opportunities for self-discovery. Carefully chosen materials help build fine motor skills and introduce a sense of order in a simple, magical way. This strong foundation of independence prepares them for the exciting new challenges of the Pre-Primary Program.
-
PRE-PRIMARY
The Pre-Primary Program at MCS is where a love of learning truly blossoms. In our mixed-age classrooms, older children naturally model behaviors and skills for their younger peers, creating a community of learning and growth. Through practical life activities, sensory exploration, and early academic concepts in math, language, and science, children engage in hands-on, self-paced learning that honors their unique development. Each day includes time outdoors, fostering a connection with nature and enriching their holistic education. This nurturing environment builds independence, cognitive skills, and a strong sense of community, preparing children to step confidently into the leadership roles of the Kindergarten Program.
-
KINDERGARTEN
The Kindergarten Program at MCS is where children step into their roles as classroom leaders, guiding younger peers and reinforcing their own learning. With a focus on expanding academic, social, and emotional skills, children dive into advanced work in reading, writing, math, science, and cultural studies. Here, they practice decision-making, problem-solving, and self-management, all while remaining closely connected to nature through daily outdoor activities. This program solidifies the foundational skills and love for learning that prepare them for the more complex and collaborative experiences in the Lower Elementary Program.
-
LOWER ELEMENTARY
The Lower Elementary Program at MCS is where curiosity and critical thinking take center stage. Here, children dive deeper into academic concepts, exploring subjects like math, language arts, cultural studies, and science. With an emphasis on abstract thinking, project-based learning, and research activities, they develop creative problem-solving skills and expand their imagination. In our mixed-age classrooms, students mentor one another, fostering collaboration and social development. Outdoor education remains a key part of their experience, nurturing a strong connection with nature. This program equips children with the skills, independence, and curiosity they need to navigate future educational challenges confidently.
