A Cleveland native, Barry’s journey—from professional athlete to financial planner—has shaped his ability to guide organizations with vision and resilience.
Barry’s early career as a professional soccer player and coach instilled in him the values of teamwork, discipline, and adaptability—skills that translate seamlessly into his role as a leader at MCS. As a former captain at both Saint Ignatius High School and the University of Kentucky, he understands the importance of fostering a strong, collaborative environment where individuals feel empowered to reach their full potential. His ability to lead with strategy and purpose is a guiding force in his work with the MCS Board, ensuring that the school continues to thrive.
After transitioning from athletics, Barry pursued a career in financial planning, where he now specializes in wealth strategies, estate planning, and long-term financial growth. His expertise in navigating complex financial landscapes supports MCS in building a strong foundation for the school’s sustainability and future expansion.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Barry has a passion for travel and exploring new cultures, experiences that deepen his appreciation for Montessori’s global and holistic approach to education. He is also preparing for an exciting personal milestone—his wedding in May.
