Ms. Cindy – Toddler Assistant

Ms. Cindy joined MCS this past school year as Ms. Clare’s assistant in the five-day toddler program. A former retired schoolteacher, she’s thrilled to be back in a classroom environment surrounded by young learners. Having raised five children of her own, who are now adults, Ms. Cindy brings a deep love for children to her work at MCS. She and her husband, Kevin, are longtime residents of Bay Village and love to travel across the U.S. to visit their children—and, of course, their rescue dog Jack is often along for the adventure!

Ms. Cindy’s path to teaching is unique. After spending 25 years in marketing and sales, she returned to college to earn her teaching degree and pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a teacher. She taught Language Arts and English at a private school and Bay High School until the pandemic prompted her early retirement. However, her passion for working with children drew her back, first as a tutor and later as a substitute and Pre-K teacher for Bay Schools’ Glenview Learning Center.

Drawn to MCS for its dedication to “The Montessori Way,” Ms. Cindy was inspired by the simplicity, purpose, creativity, kindness, and independence that define Montessori education. She loves belonging to a community that values these qualities and finds joy in learning with her students every day.

Outside of the classroom, Ms. Cindy enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and being outdoors. Her goal at MCS is to nurture each child’s independence and curiosity, creating a warm environment where her students feel valued and excited to learn.
