Mrs. Donegan – Preprimary Directress

Mrs. Donegan’s classroom is a place of creativity, kindness, and those magical “aha” moments when children discover something new. As a Preprimary Directress for children ages three to six, she feels blessed to witness each child’s growth over the years and to watch friendships blossom in her classroom. Her goal is to create an environment that nurtures a love for learning, encouraging each child to explore, create, and connect.

Mrs. Donegan brings a colorful background to MCS! In past chapters, she has been an aerobics instructor, choreographer, social worker, waitress for four decades, and even a realtor. She was also a college dancer and once proudly served as her school’s mascot! These diverse experiences shape her dynamic approach to teaching and inspire her to bring fresh ideas and materials to the classroom. She loves being inspired by her students’ creativity and enjoys crafting materials that make learning fun and meaningful.

Outside of school, Mrs. Donegan enjoys time with her grandchildren, riding her Peloton (pedaling but staying put!), walking and running in nature, and hunting for treasures while thrifting. She’s also an active volunteer at her church and a lover of all things art.

In the future, Mrs. Donegan dreams of writing children’s stories and creating Montessori materials that foster child development and bring joy to young learners. And of course, she looks forward to spending even more time with her beloved grandchildren. For Mrs. Donegan, life is filled with wonderful people and new adventures in learning, both in and out of the classroom.
