Jackie valek – BOARD Vice president

Jackie Valek’s journey with MCS began with a search for the right environment for her son, Colton, after he was diagnosed with an expressive speech delay. Initially uncertain about how to navigate these new challenges, Ms. Valek found reassurance in the warmth and understanding she encountered at MCS. The strong sense of community and the Montessori approach made her feel that Colton would be well-supported and understood. This positive experience has inspired her goal as a board member: to ensure every family feels the same trust and care she found within the MCS community.

With 15 years of nonprofit experience, including seven in leadership roles, Ms. Valek has a solid track record of dedication to mission-focused service and building collaborative environments. Her 17-year corporate background in human resources and operations further supports her ability to assist MCS in developing strong policies and efficient systems to enhance the school’s growth and sustainability.

As MCS enters a critical period of development, Ms. Valek’s skills in strategic planning and operations will help guide the school toward a bright future. She looks forward to working alongside fellow board members, staff, and families to uphold the Montessori philosophy and ensure MCS remains a nurturing, secure space for children to grow and thrive.
