Ms. Morgan – Preprimary Assistant
Ms. Morgan is a dedicated Preprimary Assistant at MCS, where she works alongside Lead Teacher Ms. Johnson in what she affectionately calls the “dream team.” She finds immense joy in sharing daily moments of love, laughter, and learning with the children, who are the highlight of her role at MCS.
Ms. Morgan’s introduction to Montessori began in 2019 during her early childhood education studies. When she observed at MCS in 2023, she knew she had found her place. Starting as a substitute, she embraced the Montessori approach and soon stepped into a permanent assistant role in the Preprimary classroom, bringing a fresh perspective to her work.
She recently earned her Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education and obtained her Preschool Licensure in December 2024. Looking ahead, she hopes to deepen her Montessori expertise and work toward becoming a certified Montessori teacher. Ms. Morgan has also attended seminars through the Ohio Association for the Education of Young Children, focusing on Music and Movement Diversity, and enjoys sharing her knowledge with colleagues.
Her favorite aspect of Montessori education is “following the child”, allowing children to develop independence and achieve their goals at their own pace. She values using nature as a teaching tool, appreciating the lessons and discoveries it brings to each child’s life.
Outside of school, Ms. Morgan loves spending time with her family—including her two cats—exploring the metroparks, painting, and enjoying the beauty of Lake Erie. Her teaching philosophy centers on building relationships with each child, emphasizing open communication and personal connection. She believes that when children feel truly seen and heard, they develop confidence and a genuine love for learning.
