Señora Yesica – Spanish Teacher
Señora Yesica joined MCS in August 2024 as the Spanish teacher for Toddler, Preprimary, and Lower Elementary classes, bringing her love for language and culture to the classroom. With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Studio Art from Queens College and a Master’s in Creative Arts Therapy from Hofstra University, both in New York, she combines her expertise in child development and creativity to make Spanish learning joyful and meaningful.
Growing up, Señora Yesica spent her summers traveling from Jackson Heights, NY, to Ecuador, where her love for nature began. Her grandparents taught her the beauty of farm life, from the scent of eucalyptus trees and herbs in her grandmother’s backyard to caring for chickens, sheep, cows, and pigs. These experiences fostered her lifelong appreciation for the natural world—a passion she shares with her students.
Yesica brings years of experience as a substitute teacher, tutor, and community educator in both public and private schools. She’s been a part of the MCS family since 2019, with her children attending the school, and she now serves as a Parent Representative on the Board of Directors.
Her unique background and personal connection to the Montessori community make Señora Yesica an inspiring guide for her students as they discover the beauty of the Spanish language and culture.
